Birdhouses can bring so much joy into a garden, as I've experienced in my own backyard. Watching little feathered friends create a home in your space is kind of magical... they become part of your family for a time. It's so nice to watch them go in and out, take the time and effort to create a safe space, and make their little house a home! This piece highlights some local species; Red-breasted Nuthatch, Black-capped Chickadees, Purple Finch, and Prothonotary Warblers. I thought this theme would be a perfect addition to my collection, and I really enjoyed painting them!
As an illustrator, I am honoured when someone wants to hang my artwork on their wall, so have fun making a set of your own! I'd suggest grouping prints with similar colours or subject matter, but in the end you just need to love the pieces so pick your favourites!
