Perry McEwen Art

Perry was born in Cairo, Egypt, to British parents and spent the first part of her life travelling. Living in the Middle East, Africa, Australia, Switzerland and the UK gave her an early appreciation of the arts, especially Middle Eastern and African. The intricacies of hand-carved African masks, and the design and warm colours of oriental carpets and textiles were and still are a constant source of inspiration. 

Perry is self-taught and her inspiration is colour. The more she can use, the better. Her art is cheerful, fun and whimsical. It reflects the joy she feels when creating her pieces.
