CJ Clare Artworks

Starting out as a Graphic Designer in Toronto I later became enthralled with the fine arts. Painting in oil, acrylic, encaustic, egg tempera, mixed media and even sculpture. I have studied many techniques and styles at various schools including the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario), Toronto School of Art, ArteMbassy, Avenue Road Art School and Maggiolly Arts.
For five years I was the artistic director on the AIDSbeat Event committee. This long running extraordinary battle of bands, from the legal field, raises funds for CANFAR’s AIDS Research. I helped create concepts like 60s MOD, Las Vegas Casino, Rock & Roll Circus, Summer of Love, executing large wall and floor graphics, interactive photo installations such as a Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, a John & Yoko Bed-In, interactive Circus portraits, and print and web design.
I have a studio in Orangeville since 2015 where I have dedicated time to large portraits, commissions, as well as landscapes and still life.
I recently turned by attention to having my art printed on fashions through Le Galeriste, a Montreal based company using environmentally responsible methods in their Canadian factory. All their performance wear fabrics are vegan, moisture wicking & wrinkle free and water-based inks are used in the printing process. I am enjoying tailoring my art to the human body and a few home fashion pieces as well.
I am thrilled to be included in the amazing Rare Threads collection!
