Jackie Warmelink

Jackie makes her pottery in her studio on the family farm in Mulmur, Ontario where she has worked for the last 15 years. She has studied pottery with many master potters in Africa, Ontario and US over the last 40 years developing her current body of work which takes inspiration from the nature surrounding her. She currently works in Stoneware and Raku hand building her pieces from from slabs of clay, often imprinting with leaves or lace making each piece unique. Her Stoneware designs glazed in organic colour combinations, feature functional bowls, platters & serving dishes. In Raku, an exciting unpredictable technique, she makes decorative platters & bowls, sculptural birds, animals, & fish mounted on wood and unusual Christmas tree decorations – all glazed in iridescent copper & crackle glazes - truly “one of a kind”!
